Ive had a couple in the past & have to say this one is mych better I love it. The older version had knobs & could be a pain. This new & improved lid rocks the casbah
I have a spinner & I wash, spin, rinse, spin. The spinning helps spin the soap out, so I spin before each rinse. For me it holds a perfect amount & so easy to use. However if you dont have a spinner or wringer you may hate it so get a spinner too

I went with the open box in white

I got my little retro open box yellow wonderwasher back in July 2019 (it is now September 2019) when I first moved into my first apartment. I never liked the idea of lugging my dirty, or clean laundry for that matter, out side for everyone to see. This little washer lets me do laundry any day or night, I get to moderate the water that goes into it, the temperature, how long it washes for, and how long it rinses for, all in the comfort of my own home. The fact that I can only wash a small amount of clothes at a time makes me aware of when I need to do laundry so there isn't a pile building up of clothes.

The assistance I received when looking into this washer was fanominal. I received an email response quick and readily and they even helped me find the perfect washer I was looking for.

The couple downfalls of this washer is that I need to find a color catcher for when clothes I didn't expect to leak color leaks color (and sometimes I have so few clothes to wash and I've been working out I just want to clean them immediately (I am not a patient person)), and part of the hardware falls out occasionally on the side of the washer when I'm oscillating the clothes (it keeps the legs together, like a little snap button). But when it pops out I just pop it back in so it's really no big deal.

Strongly debating getting their drier next to help speed up the process of my clothes washing (the whole washing bit only takes 5 minutes and however long my water takes to fill it up. The real waiting is waiting for your clothes to dry, which doesn't help when you live in New England and it's constantly moist).

I would recommend this washer if you're looking to do laundry in an apartment, as that's my only experience with it for now.

Couldn't put it together....and it broke when I tried to wash clothes in it. Had to throw it out.

My first Wonder Wash lasted about 4 years. It worked better than regular washers in my opinion.
I ordered an open box WW this time. I got it the next day and tried to assemble it right away but had a little problem. The square hole of handle part that is supposed to fit on metal bar seemed too tight so could not fit them together. So I messaged customer support. Thomas was very helpful. He explained how and why they improved WW. I tried again and succeeded. Newly designed WW is easier to use and feel better - the new lid is quick to use and air-tight. The old WW buttons for joint all popped out but I know new buttons are going to stay. Drain pipe works better too. Great job, greater support! Thank you!!

While some of the tape on the outside was peeling, there was nothing functionally deficient in the product. My only suggestion to the company would be to make set-up instructions clearer (as it is, they suggest setting up the entire stand before inserting the washer body, when in actuality the body needs to be set up with the stand in order to fit).

I love my wonderwash, I've wanted one for years and finally had a reason to buy one just recently works great. Still trying to find the most effective system for washing. I bought a used one and it leaks a little but I think theres a solution to the problem.

This is my second time owning one of these. It is very handy for washing just a couple of items at a time.

Doesn't take up much space, doesn't use as many resources, and is really easy to use. It's a godsend for delicates and when it's warm enough to line-dry my clothes. The only two things that aren't absolutely perfect are:

-The suction cups (They do their job a little too well--since I needed to move/re-angle the washer to fill/drain, I practically had to dismantle the legs to get all four suction cups removed. However, the legs are too slippery to use without something to grip, so I think I might remove the suction cups and put some non-slip paint on the bottom)
-This is most likely user error, but I definitely should have changed out the more times when I was rinsing. I rinsed twice but still had some soap in the clothes. Just double check before drying/hanging!

The open box wonder wash was in good condition except for the tape that covers the seam. But that wasn’t a big deal. I love this little washer. The first day I got it I found myself looking for things to wash. :)

I have three wonder washers as they are fantastic! Work great at getting nasty tow truck driver grease and road sweat clean and fresh!!! I am thrilled to have them!

I work in Custodial and Security, so sweating is a fact of life for me. I like to wash my stuff in small loads mostly, except my tactical pants, and I mostly favor cold washing. The Wonder Wash is a great solution for me.

I went with the "Open Box" option because I am on a tight budget. So far I have done several loads including: white clothes, black clothes, work out clothes, tactical pants (by themselves), and even burrowed my 20 year old nephew's work out clothes and vest for a challenge. Though I would advise people to do at least 2 rinses, and I tend to do double the wash time, it has preformed great.

Assembly was easy, and it is very light to move and store when empty. It uses very little detergent and much less water than our old washer did. I also love the ease with which the drain tube works.

Draw backs: you definitely need to wring your clothes out after. However, the site has spin dryers that can do that (which may be my next purchase). Other than that I do tend to get the area I am working in wet, so I mostly work with the machine in the bathroom. This is an elegant approach to doing laundry. There is a lot that I like here. It is fast, easy, does a good job cleaning, is very gentle on clothes. Efficient use of water.

However, the build quality is low for the price. You can do laundry in a similar manner with a $5 bucket that would last a lifetime. This thing will definitely not last very long. It feels rickety, with a lot of movement in the base while cranking.The little blocks to hold it together pop out regularly. I may try gluing the whole thing together but the plastic will eventually crack with this much rough motion.

Leaks from the valve badly while draining. I'm not sure if it is leaking from the weird taped seam on the washer. I bet it will start leaking from there at some point. I can probably fix with glue but there is a lot of problems with the design/execution of build

I ordered this washer at a large (50%?) discount, because it was open box. But it was like new, to my delight. Also delightful: it works great! It's nice to be off grid and to have a better way to clean small loads. Very well designed. Note: I recommend watching a couple of YouTube videos to see how it works.

First off, because this might be important to someone else: the unit I received was a light colored pink, not white. This does not bother me, particularly not for $27, but it was a surprise and might not be what everybody wants.

But much more importantly, I love how it functions! Thank you for the great product. I hated having to wash improperly sorted large loads in order to save time, water, and quarters in the few machines available in my building. As someone who lives alone, and is never going to have a full load of whites or delicates, this is much better.

I was concerned this machine would not work for me. I have a repetitive stress injury in my wrists and elbows, from weird genetics and excessive computer use. A repeated cranking motion could exacerbate the issue, particularly if pain is already flaring up from other activities. (For the record, the necessary motion is very easy, and people are accurate when they say it takes minimal strength. But repeatedly making a cranking motion with no resistance at all could be an issue for me.)

To add to my concern, I realized the most convenient place for me to use this would be with it placed in my bathtub, which makes it difficult for me to get a healthy ergonomic angle while cranking.

I was very surprised by the now obvious solution: I crank it with my foot! I found this most comfortable while wearing shoes that covers the top of my cranking foot and that can get wet. (I happened to already own Crocs as shower shoes for the gym.) I found it very easy to stand on one foot and operate the crank with the other, but of course sitting and using one foot would work just as well, and is probably safer. I found this easiest with the crank pointing towards me, but doable from any angle.

This tip is no doubt unnecessary for the vast majority of people who would use this. Like I said before, the crank does not take much strength at all, even when filled with the maximum amount of water suggested, and it seems like children use it easily. But I wanted something that would make handwashing easier and more convenient despite my current physical limitations. (The "kneading" motion of traditional hand washing is also hard on my elbows, and I always ended up very wet.) I am very happy I found this.

My one suggestion: I wish it was possible to secure the rotating tub in a particular position, particularly right side up, and upside down. Being able to secure it in the right side up position would be handy when I choose to rinse clothes in it by hand, instead of adding the lid and cranking it. It would also have given me peace of mind the one time I used it outside of my bath tub, and needed to leave it full of water and unattended for a moment, so I could go find the lid.

Being able to secure it upside down would be even better, because it would let me ensure proper drainage and air drying overnight. I have left it upside down, only to come back in the morning and find that it had quickly flipped right side up, and wasn't completely dry yet.
