New Mini Washing Machine from Brazil

There is a new concept mini washing machine from Brazil. On the surface, it appears to be very similar to many other mini washers. However the inventor claims it is much quieter, which would be a major breakthrough. Most mini washers are inexpensive, but quite loud. As washing machine cycles can be fairly long, this can be irritating if you live in a small space, unlike a big house where you can put the washing machine in the basement. We haven't been able to find the inventor and get details on the noise level, motor type and decibel level yet, but will keep trying and post details when we find out. (more…)

Fate of Missing Socks

Laundry: A Quantum Mechanical Approach by: Brian J. Reardon It has been argued that the act of doing laundry followed the discovery of clothing by only a few weeks. While this fact has been regarded to be fantastically trivial, one can not ignore the enigmas that the act of doing laundry has created. This is especially true in the age of high speed washers and dryers. In the early days, the disappearance of articles of clothing could simply be accounted for by saying that the sock was lost in the river. Unfortunately, such excuses can no longer be used today. The availability of high speed automated washers and dryers has provided a number of fundamental questions that can not be answered using the classical laundry theory (i.e.: the river washed the sock away). Such questions include: (more…)

Laundry Room Accessory

Looking for a laundry room accessory? We have dozens of unique, hard to find laundry room accessories. Some of our most popular ones are: The Filtrol 160, the only product in the world which effectively catches washing machine lint at the source, preventing one of the leading causes of septic system failure. Few people outside of the septic system business are aware of this, but washing machine lint is one of the leading causes of septic system failure and can also clog household plumbing. The lightweight lint particles get flushed out to the drainfield and plug it up. The typical family washing machine produces enough lint each year to carpet a living room floor! Lint screens and nylon socks are ineffective as they trap five percent or less of the lint. Septic system failure is very common in this country and repairs are extremely expensive, often running from $5,000 to $20.000 or more. More information is available at http://www.laundry-alternative.com/product/Fitrol-160-Septic-Protector (more…)

We would prefer to be more cautious and recommend using a special type of laundry soap called Charlie's Soap, which is fully natural, biodegradable and does not leave any residue which can reduce the fire-retardant qualities of your baby's clothes. It also has outperformed the leading brands in University studies. (more…)
